How We Handle Your Information

1. Who we are

Pool of Living Water and Healing Ministry is a registered ministry based behind St. Joseph (Ombo) Mission Hospital in Migori County, Kenya. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website, and we handle it in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us, plus basic usage statistics.

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the message you write.
• Prayer request form: your name, a phone number or email address (optional), and the prayer request you write.
• Usage data: through Google Analytics, such as the pages visited, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. This is not used to identify you personally.

We do not take payments on this website. The giving details shown on the Giving page are for you to use in your own M-Pesa or banking app.

3. Prayer requests can be sensitive

A prayer request may include details about your health, family, or faith. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. We use it to pray for you and, where you have asked for it, to follow up with pastoral care. It is seen only by the prayer team and pastoral leaders who need it for that purpose.

4. How we use your information

• To read and respond to your message or prayer request.
• To send you an automatic email confirming that we received it.
• To follow up with pastoral care when you have asked us to.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who else handles your information

We use trusted services to run this website. They process information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Kenya.

• Resend: sends the confirmation email to you and delivers your message to our church inbox.
• Google (Gmail): the church inbox where your message arrives.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Cloudflare: provides our domain name (DNS) services.
• Google Analytics: provides usage statistics.
• Google Maps and YouTube: embedded on the Contact and Sermons pages. Google may set cookies when you view or interact with them.

6. Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits, and embedded YouTube videos and Google Maps may set their own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website will still work without them.

7. How long we keep it

We keep messages and prayer requests only for as long as we need them to respond and to care for you. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

8. Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you may ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information.
• Stop using your information, or object to how we use it.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).

9. Security

The website uses HTTPS, and access to our accounts is limited to authorised people. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, and ordinary email is not end-to-end encrypted, so please keep that in mind when deciding what to share.

10. Children

This website is not directed at children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us any personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
